When and With Whom Do We Share Your Personal Information

We may share your data with third-party vendors, service providers, contractors, or agents who perform services for us or on our behalf and require access to such information to do that work. Or if the organization has specific requirements to review the information as required by their regulations:


  • College of Occupational Therapy of Ontario (Ontario Occupational Therapy Regulatory body)
  • Business Transfers in connection with or during negotiations of any. merger, sale of company assets, financing for acquisition of all or a portion of our business to another company.
  • Business Partners such as other therapists or assistance, or administrative staff.

How long do we keep your information?

 We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purpose set out in this privacy notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting, or other legal requirements, as set out by law in the province or country or by regulatory bodies. No purpose in this notice will require us keeping your personal information for longer than 10 years, if contract services forged between Northern Educational Therapy and the person contacting through the website contact us page. This is as per the COTO regulations.

When we have no on going legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize such information, or if this is not possible for example because you information has been stored in backup archives, then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further process until deletion is possible.

If a therapy contact is forged by the Northern Education Therapy and the browser, appropriate and reasonable technical and organizational security measures are used as per COTO guidelines.

We do not collect information from minors. We do not knowingly solicit data from or market to children under 18 years of age.

You have privacy rights. In some regions in Canada, you have certain rights under applicable data protection laws. These may include the (i) the right to request access and obtain a copy of your personal information that was gathered from using our website (ii) to request rectification or erasure (iii) to restrict the processing of your personal information and (iv) if applicable, to data portability. You can make this request by emailing info@northern-therapy.ca.
