TELETHERAPY: BRINGING EDUCATIONAL THERAPY TO YOU
We’re thrilled to offer occupational Therapy® online, making it accessible across Ontario through our teletherapy services. While in-person sessions are often preferred, we’ve seen students achieve the same remarkable progress virtually. Using a professional Zoom platform, we ensure that the therapeutic techniques are delivered with the same quality and effectiveness. This allows your child to benefit from this transformative therapy no matter how far you are from our local centers.
Helen Mackay OT Reg. (Ont.), CET, IMC
As an Occupational Therapist, Certified NILD Educational Therapist, and Search & Teach Provider, I am privileged to support my three children, each possessing their own academic strengths. However, I’ve also witnessed their challenges in reading, writing, and mathematics, which necessitate direct, explicit, multi-sensory, and systematic therapeutic interventions to help them flourish. Often the cognitive / perceptual, gross & fine motor and motor planning are influencing these abilities.
My personal journey has sparked a deep passion for educational therapy, as I have witnessed firsthand how targeted support in reading, writing, and math—rooted in rehabilitation principles—can profoundly enhance children’s physical, cognitive, perceptual, and emotional development, as well as their academic performance.
I am dedicated to extending this approach to all children who face academic difficulties.
Since 2007, I have been a registered Occupational Therapist specializing in the rehabilitation of physical and cognitive disabilities, illnesses, and injuries. Additionally, as a certification as an NILD Educational Therapist, Interactive Metronome and Search & Teach Provider. I work with individuals ranging from kindergarteners to adults, whether they have a diagnosed learning disability, face undiagnosed challenges, or carry a dual diagnosis.
